Modec was an electric vehicle manufacturer based in the UK, specialising in Commercial vehicles. Modec was the first electric vehicle in the N2 class to attain European Whole Vehicle Type Approval. Modec then entered into a joint venture with Navistar International for North and South America. Navistar began deliveries of its eStar electric van manufactured in Indiana, under licensed technology from Modec's zero-emissions delivery van. Key customers included FedEX, UPS, DHL & Coca Cola.
Therefore collaborated in the vehicles overall design & styling. The first model was unveiled in April 2006 and commercial production commenced in March 2007, with the first vehicles destined for Tesco, M&S and other British companies.
