As pioneers of the new satellite technology Bullitt approached us to design a product that would be depended upon in remote blackspot locations. The Motorola defy uses a satellite link to put minds at ease when on overseas adventures, a check-in button can send your coordinates or a message to your loved ones, giving them peace of mind.
The design language during the development of this project was driven by the need to establish visual confidence in such an extreme outdoor product. The challenge was to apply sufficient appropriate styling whilst not losing any of the vital usability when in possible life-threatening situations.
